Setting up a DreamWidth account because many of my f-list are. (no, I wouldn't jump off a bridge if 'everybody' did; although if most of my friends were, I probably would because they're pretty smart.)
I don't post much to my journals (not much to write about, honestly), and use them mostly as a way to keep up with far-flung friends. This is my fic-reading journal. I'm horrible at commenting (I tend to comment only when I really like something), and worse at actually writing a story. I write fairly well (I'm an editor by trade, engineer by training), but am crap at plot/characterisation/etc.
Oh. Age statement. My eldest child graduated from High School (grade 12) in 2009. Legally, I'm old enough to read anything.
